Little Miss Attitude

This week has been a big week for Brynley. She grows in her development every week it seems like! This week she's developed the the Bryn attitude. Everytime she wants something or Bray takes something from her, she does this 'ehh' 'ehh' until she gets her way! In a way it is quite hilarous, but in another I just roll my eyes and think it is way too early for her to figure out that. I don't remember Braylon doing that so early, but on the other hand, he didn't have a sibling to play with. Speaking of siblings, as much of a shock as it was to get pregnant with Brynley so fast, I continually am blessed on a daily basis by God's generousity and can't thank him enough for the gift of our kids, they are such a blessing to this family and I couldn't imagine life without them, I know the kids couldn't imagine life without each other. Lately, they are playing SO well together and he is continuously showing her love and I know he would be so bored around here without a sibling to learn and grow from!
Last weekend was Chad's 31st birthday. It was a calm weekend for the most part. On his birthday (Saturday) was FHU's golf tourney, so he was gone a majority of the day, so the kids and I did some last minute shopping for his birthday and had lunch with my mom. That night after Ryan and Chad took naps, we went to Red Robin for his birthday dinner and had a good time! Sunday was pretty uneventful as well until we had tornados in the afternoon a little too close our home, but luckily there was very minimal damage and we hardly got a drop of hail, so that was really good! This week has been pretty laid back as well. I'm trying to get all organized to start the kids baby albums and writing down memories from what I have written down and can remember month by month, that way when I do get to them hopefully soon, I will hopefully remember everything I can! I'm also trying to get their birthday parties somewhat planned, knowing that it will be here in less than 2 months and its always so much fun for me to plan that kind of stuff, I really have fun with it and hopefully it will all turn out good! On Monday night, we went to our new Costco to get stuff we were out of. It is AWESOME and I can't wait go again, such a fun family outing, getting to sample stuff, have a cheap dinner and shop! The carts there work so well as they are double seaters, so we put both kids in the cart and off we go shopping and sampling. Its sp funny because the kids are really liking the sampling thing, I gave them a few bites of stuff and they kept wanting more and getting so excited over it, it was too cute! The DNC has been in Denver all this week, although I'm really not into politics, some of the things that have been going on or seeing who's in town has been very interesting and its exciting that Denver is getting such huge international attention right now! Go Obama! Also this past week, I have finally got to hang out with a 'mom' neighbor that is just up the street a few houses from me that has kids around the same age as ours. We have a lot of older kids in the neighborhood or kids that are off to college or neighbors with no kids, so its really nice for me to have someone to hang out with. She's a teacher, but is off track for another week, so we've enjoyed our time together and the kids are getting to know each other, her's are 3 and 18 mo. We are planning on going swimming tomorrow at our pool for one last time before it closes for the season :(
I also learned that my neighbor's sister that lives with them just became an assistant manager at a Starbucks, so it was fun to see all the people we both knew! Such a small world....speaking of small worlds, I was just on the phone with my mom about an hour ago and she was asking me if I remembered the story about the 3 men this week that were arrested for threatening to assassinate Obama, well 2 of them have connections to Idalia, where my parents graduated high school and where my grandparents still reside. My parents went to school with the 2 boys parents and my grandparents are good friends with the one of the boys grandparents, so its just a little wild and such a small world......well, I'm off with the kiddos to meet a friend at her house, I'm excited for Chad to have a 3 day weekend with Labor Day this weekend, so I guess stay tuned to see what the rest of the week brings, I need to start blogging more than once a week so my blogs aren't so long! Chao!
