We had decided last night, that we were going to have to take off on our trip about 12 hours earlier than expected. Since my mom is a flight attendant, we get discounted tickets, but the downside is that we fly on standby status, which is getting harder these days. We are able to keep an eye on how full the flights are getting and so when we noticed that all Thursday flights (our original scheduled departure) were going to full and we wouldn't probably get on, we made the decision to leave late Wednesday night. Chad's parents were able to get up here a littler early than scheduled and take them on for the duration of our trip! We had a nice flight going out, arrived in Detroit about midnight their time and by the time we picked up our rental car and checked into our hotel it was 2am, so we were exhausted!
