Today Chad decided to tackle what appeared to be an easy fix by putting in a new kitchen faucet after the game. What supposedly was only going to take less than 30 min. turned into 4 hours and about 6 trips between Home Depot and Lowes. This shouldn't come as any suprise to us as it seems like every project we get into in this house, there is always something that doesn't go right, in this case, whoever installed this in our house when it was built 15 years ago screwed up. No surprise again as we've found that this house was poorly constructed in so many ways, you really wonder what they were thinking sometimes. If anyone has been to our house and knows about our sink, we could of won the 'worst kitchen faucet' award seriously. Besides being old, it made this high pitched noise when you turned it on (you could hear it upstairs and outside), it didn't spray a steady stream and if you didn't turn it off exactly in the right spot, it leaked consistently. We knew that we had to make this top priority in our projects. We didn't get anything fancy at all, since we have a pretty old sink as well. We just figured we wouldn't put the money into it until we decide to totally remodel the kitchen someday (ha! Maybe when the kids leave for college at the rate were going!) In closing, I am in LOVE with my new sink, I can't get enough of it and as much headaches as it gave Chad, we both feel the all the complications were so worth it in the end! I couldn't just pick one picture for today, so here's 4. You'll see a pic of the old faucet laying in the grass, yes, my husband took out needed to relieve some stress by chucking it in the grass as hard as he could, I just had to get a pic!
