8 years, really?!?! Its crazy to think its already been 8 years! We had most of our fun yesterday, as we both had to work today. After Chad got home from work, we were so indecisive on where to eat, but ended up agreeing on Hickory House. I told him I can't remember the last time I was there, its probably been a year, but we were overdue for the best ribs ever! It was a yummy dinner and stuffed ourselves as usual! We came back to the house to relax and watch some recorded shows and decided we'd make our final call to check in with the kids as well. Unfortunetly, I had got a phone call from Brit early that morning telling me Bray was not feeling good and had a fever. He slept most of the day and his fever continued to climb as the evening progressed and when we called that night, it had reached 103.2. I just felt so terrible for him and so guilty and helpless as well as we were 3 hours away and just wanting to be with him and comfort him. I knew he was in good hands, but when one of your kids is sick, its so frightning and all you want to do is take their symptoms away. We decided to call our peditrician and get advice on what to do. Luckily his temp. never went past 104 (which is considered the max when you need to take them in). There's really nothing you can do but give them Tylenol, try to give them tons of liquids and let them sleep as much as possible, which is what he exactly did and just prayed that he would be back to his normal self in the morning, otherwise I would be making a trip to go pick them up early. So, needless to say, it was a somber end to our special day, but that's what comes at you when you have kids and I'm just thankful that he was in good hands and we did all we could do for him. Here's a pic of him with his aunt cj enjoying some sleep and an icy pop. Also, a picture from 8 years ago too!
