Today was yet another milestone, my little guy turned 2 1/2 today, can't believe it, where does the time go and can they stop growing up so fast?!? I think it made his day today as we were getting ready to make a trip to Costco, I had forgotten that our neighborhood was having our hydrants flushed today, so Bray (and Bryn too) enjoyed watching one of the workers let water out of one of the hydrants across the street, but had even more fun playing in it in the gutter. Needless to say they both got wet and had to change outfits and diapers before leaving!

On the flip side, I should know by now that when the kids are being SO good for so long at sleeping at night that its too good to be true, yep, they broke the cycle recently. I think Braylon thinks that since he's 2 1/2 now and doesn't take naps anymore that he can fuss trying to go to bed at night. He's usually no problem getting to bed, but lately he cries for about 10 mins. in his room, turns on his light and eventually falls asleep with his light on. Luckily after he's asleep one of us cracks open his door to turn off the light and he doesn't wake up, I just think it would be hard to sleep at night with the bright room light on all night, but apparently he thinks otherwise. Bryn has been up crying in the middle of the night too and sometimes it will wake Bray up too and eventually we get them all to bed. I think this has definetly been my challenge as a parent is the lack of sleep and not being able to make it back up. I'm one that really needs my sleep and is a grumpy bear if I don't and is definetly not a morning person. In order for us to get sleep at night when the kids choose to be up, I find it easier to put one of them in bed with us until they fall asleep and then put them back in their rooms, I can only take about 10-15 min. of crying and then I give up. Chad, however, does not like them in our bed, and yes, I do create a bad habit doing that, but I feel its the only way I can try to relax and try to sleep. Although they aren't crying when they are in our bed, they are kicking you in the face, back, or whatever they can find and then your king size bed turns into a cot! Fun times of toddlerhood!
