This past week has been a big and busy week for us! I never use to be too thrilled with Halloween, but since we have kids now, that has totally changed! I was so excited when my aunt offered me my little cousin's 'hunny pot' costume that she had never used and I thankfully was able to use for Bryn's costume! I knew I wanted to have them be things/items that go together like ketchup/mustard or dora/diego type thing, so since I was given the hunny pot costume, I knew the perfect costume for Bray which would none other than Pooh bear! I luckily found one on Craigslist for $8, so I was very excited and it made for an inexpensive Halloween! I was a little anxious to see how they would react to wearing costumes, but they ended up doing better than I expected. We started off the day by going to Chad's office at 9:30 for their little get together. Bray was really liking the idea that he got candy at just about every cubicle that had someone in it! Bryn did good too, but she's still young and doesn't quite comprehend it all yet, but next year she'll love it! After that stop, we came back home and took a breather before going back to another office for more candy and then it was back home for trick or treating around our block. I'm glad we just went around the block, because it was a lot of work hauling 2 kids around, but it was fun to see some of our neighbors we don't get to see often and everybody is in a great mood, gotta love that! All in all, it was a fun halloween and we have just as much candy as we started with, yikes!
I can't believe how fast October has flew by and now its November already, where does the time go? Tomorrow is a very important and critical time in our country as its Election Day and Chad and I are actually voting for the first time! Its very exciting for us to be a part of it and it makes us proud we did it, however, we are SO SO over all the political commericals, calls & signs. Today, I had to drive to Castle Rock with the kids because I accidently left my ballot out on the table to go do something else and I should know better than that because Bray's new thing is finding anything that writes and happened to get my ballot a little bit. It wasn't too big of a mark, but I called the election office today and they said it would probably be a good idea if I came and got a replacement ballot because sometimes those marks will mess up your ballot. So, I braved it and drove to down there and got back all in one peace and actually was somehow able to fill out my replacement ballot with my 2 kids there, not without a few bribes and toys they shouldn't play with, like my cell phone, but it keeps them occupied for a few minutes while I can get it done and over with. The things we do for our kids!
