Oh my, what a huge change in temperature today! As of right now its only 50 degrees out and I have layers and SOCKS on (I can't stand socks), so you know that its cold when I have to wear them! I FINALLY figured out how to set up a background for my blog, thanks Shannon!! It was SO frustrating and the instructions I guess were not up to date, go figure! I'm so glad its Friday, its been a long week with being sick. I've had a sore throat since Sunday and today is actually the first day my throat is feeling better! The kids and I have had a lazy day inside, that is going to take some getting use to as we've living outside all summer, its going to be a hard transition, especially for Bray, as you can't usually get him inside without kicking and screaming! Brynley is getting around my 'scooting' on her butt. If you've ever seen the Stanley Steemer commercial where the dog is wiping its butt on the carpet, that is what we compare Bryn too, its just too cute how she does it and this past week she'll go from one entire room to another! So, she has inherited yet another nickname of "scoots" and Bray is "shoots", as that is one of his favorite words and he LOVES to shoot the basketball! So together they sound good-"Shoots" & "Scoots"!!
Bryn still won't crawl, but will lean forward with her hands and get in the position, but still not too for sure about it! She is actually 10 months old today, where does the time go? On the other hand, Braylon has this new fascination with thinking our couches are jungle gyms! He actually was jumping and falling on the big cushions and worked up a sweat last night about 9, he gets such a red face and sweat all over, it was too cute, although the little stinker needs to learn its bedtime and not playtime, he's such a night owl and that's fine by me for now! His new word is 'watch' and its so cute how he says it and he's usually telling you that when he's jumping and bouncing on the couches! He's also big into giving kisses, especially to Bryn, it can be for no reason at all, its just too adorable and fun to see him interact with Bryn. She's already picking up so much from him and can wave and say 'bye', so she's on a roll! This week we've also been taking in the Olympics, it has been SO much fun to watch Michael Phelps, he is AMAZING to say the least! We also watched some volleyball and gymnasts, everything is addicting to watch! We also had dinner with my Dad, brother and his girlfriend, my grandparents and my great aunt and uncle that were here from Pasadena, CA. It was neat to see my great aunt and uncle again as my great uncle had never met Brynley! We had a really nice and yummy dinner at Olive Garden, although I will second guess my decision next time to go with the kids! Braylon threw the biggest fit EVER in a restaurant and is just getting to the point that its not fun to go with them, you can't enjoy visiting with people and can't even manage to eat your meal, so needless to say, we probably won't be doing that again for awhile, he just doesn't want to sit at a table longer than a few minutes and always wants to be running around and being in everyone's way, the life of an almost 2 year old. Brynley is so good about eating out so far, we didn't hear a peep out of her, but we know our time is probably coming with her! I love my kids to death, but I have to tell you that when just the two of us to dinner alone, it is a HUGE treat for us! The weekend is upon us once again and we really have a quiet weekend planned, our softball championship game was suppose to be tonight, but delayed until next Friday due to rain. Tomorrow Chad is helping a coworker move and the kids and I may go and do a little shopping if I feel up for it! Sunday should be nice and quiet as well!
