Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here!! We did get everything set up inside that we could. We don't really do anything outside yet, my hubby really doesn't get into that, but hopefully when the kids get older he will! We have had an artificial tree for the longest time. Every year we always try to come up with the best spot for it. This year, we tried something different we've never done before. We have very high ceilings in our house and about a 5 1/2 foot tree. We decided to place it on top of one of the coffee tables in the corner behind the couches. A few of the reasons behind this was mainly safety, especially with our 2 now and all the other kids I watch during the day. It will really work well with the 2 babies I watch as they will not be able to access it, but I know its just inevitable for those onery and curious toddlers to not stay out of it! It happens every year and while you can't always have your eyes on them, we haven't had many major mishaps yet thank goodness! This is my favorite time of the year, I am mainly in charge of putting all the lights on the tree and decorating it. Chad puts up the decorations on the mantel, the wreaths and all the other decorations around the house. It is so fun now that we are a family of 4 to get out all the ornaments. You forget about some of them you have and the meaning behind them. The kids get many ornaments every year and we try to label them with their name and year if they haven't already been marked and its so much fun to reminince those fun past Christmas's!
