10.23.10 B & B's Birthday Party!

I’m so thankful that I am able to do both B & B’s party on the same day together! I thought that maybe last year would be the last year, but they are both very much into Toy Story, so they wanted a Jessie and Woody party, which I thought was so appropriate for them! I started doing some research on the internet and getting ideas. They have a TON of cute ideas and I was able to take some of them and make it a ‘Woody’s Roundup” theme. I LOVE to help plan and prepare for their party, always a lot of work, but worth it in the end! Of course, I wanted to do a lot more, but I just don’t have time these days. In fact, I’m so thankful I took the day before off, because I had not done a single thing to get ready for it! Luckily I had Alissa’s help with the kids in running errands most of the day and then Chad’s sisters and mom to help me into the late, late evening making and decorating Jessie hat & Woody’s sheriff badge cookies and making sure everything was ready for the party! About 4 months ago, our neighbors up the street had a swimming party at the Parker Rec. center for their girl and it was very reasonable, so we decided to do the same thing, especially since the outdoor pools are closed! The kids had 9 of their friends that were able to make it along with their parents! We started out in a party room with pizza, cookies and a few games. We then moved onto the pool and let them swim for a few hours! After the party, tradition is we go back to the house and most of our immediate family is in town and the kids open their gifts and I make dinner. This year I made chili and Chicken tortilla soup. It was such a fun day, I’m glad its over with, I was extremely exhausted by the end of the day! This was the 1st year that Bray and Bryn really knew it was their party and could not wait for it and to open gifts, it was so much fun to watch them! Can’t wait for Christmas!
