10.21.10 Happy 4th Birthday Braylon Drew!!

At 9:06am, Bray officially turns 4! I can’t believe how the time has flown! I still have so many vivid memories of the night before he was born and the amazing day that followed! It’s hard to believe he’s already in preschool and becoming a little man! He amazes me everyday with the sentences he will say and new things he learns! Being that he is our 1st child, he is our ‘guinea pig’ and we are still learning everyday how to parent more effectively. Bray & Bryn are polar opposites in many areas. I hate to compare them all the time, but its amazing to me how different they are in all their stages of their life. Bray is definetly a follower, where Bryn is more the leader. Bray LOVES older kids to play with. That’s been hard with daycare, because he is the oldest most times and most of them are girls. Which leads us into his choice of toys. He loves all things girly and all of Bryn’s toys. Its been a very difficult and challenging time for Chad and I to figure out an effective way to correct that. We hope its just a stage and he will grow out of it now that he’s in preschool and around a few more boys. We can only hope! Bray still continues to physically grow tremendously fast. Since the day he’s been born, he’s always been off the growth charts in height. I have a feeling in 3 weeks when we have his appt. he will continue to be the same way. He is definetly the tallest kid in his class by far, even some of the 6 yr. old friends are about his height as well, it makes us wonder if he will ever stop at some point! He has the genes to be a tall kid, so I’m guessing not! His eating habits are very strong on somedays as well, I often wonder if I have a teenager on our hands already! I don’t know where this originated from, but all of a sudden he quit drinking white milk, telling me its yucky. So I’ve had to put a tad of choc. Syrup in it to get him to drink some. Both my blender and food processor are broken now, otherwise I would puree frozen strawberries and make it a little more healthier for him. I hope he gets past this phase very quickly. Another challenging area for me is him picking up toys after he’s got them out. It’s fun to take them out, but putting them away is a nightmare battle for us every time, I feel like nothing works in getting him to do so and feel like a horrible parent that can’t parent effectively. So the battle continues. Anyways, he really is so much fun to watch him grow up, each year is getting more and more fun as he can do so many more things! Love ya buddy, you are so special to us!
