Its hard to believe that we are already having to think ahead to school choices for kindergarten. They start registering for school the Jan./Feb. before school starts, so here in a few months we will be registering Bray for Jr. Kindergarten (hopefully, it all depends on how he does in preschool, so far, not a problem!) and Bryn will be in preschool! And I thought it was crazy now trying to coordinate our work schedules with his school, its only going to get worse! It’s a good thing that we both work right now, because it would not be possible otherwise! I’m so happy I have a husband who makes smart choices and we set aside a big chunk of Bray’s preschool tuiton ahead of time and not have to worry about it month to month. Now we will have to start saving now for both of them next year and just hope that I can get them both on the same schedule and be able to balance it all! Preschool has been SO beneficial for Bray, he is growing so much in so many areas! I’m really glad I chose to do daycare as it gave him the foundation to do as well as he does in preschool. When Bray was very tiny, we had a few people in our neighborhood highly recommend that we put him and any future kids on a waiting list at this certain school in Parker. Really?!? Never knew something like that existed! So we did some research and got him on the waiting list when he was just a few months old, same with Bryn, who is guaranteed to get in if Bray gets in, so not as much worry. Parker Core Knowledge, a Core Knowledge charter school here in Parker. Tonight we attended an open house as they are going to be opening a preschool and Jr. Kindergarten as well. After much though, we decided to keep B & B where they are at. While it’s a little more money there for preschool & Jr.K, they are not guaranteed to get into Kindergarten, so we’ll just pray that Bray can get in there when the time comes. I love their philosophy on learning and the fact that they have been awarded so many achievements in all areas, I would love for them to be able to go there. If not, we still have plenty of other options, including an elementary just walking distance from our house. Let the waiting game begin.
