09.11.09

This is such a huge emotional day for all of us as the worst terriorst attack on our nation took place 8 years ago today. Its hard to believe its been that long already. I will always have the most vividly memories of that day. Shawn, Chad and I were sharing our first apartment together, Chad and I had just got married 3 months prior, we all had great jobs and life was so good, then our lives were shaken big time. The guys were already at work, I was getting ready for the day and heading to my job as a travel agent at a big travel agency that day. As usual I got up, showered and always caught what I could of the Today show. What I was seeing before my eyes was unbelievable. I kept thinking like everyone else that this was just a terrible accident, but as it went on to the Pentagon and then a Pennsylvania field, fear set in. I ended up going to my job only to come after they held a meeting saying that we all needed to be home with our families and figure out what the company was going to do next. I then remembered that my Dad was in NYC with his job and began to panic. I finally reached him and thankfully he had made it back the morning before, but had been there the day prior, I couldn't of been more relieved. The rest of the year, many years after and still today we are forever changed and will never forget and always remember those who lost their lives that day, those who were called to action and those that currently serve, we are forever blessed and thankful for what you do & where we live!!
