Ha! I finished yet another book, can you believe it? I can't! :) This one is called "I'd trade my husband for a housekeeper: loving your marriage after the baby carriage". The authors titles of their books just crack me up, because it is very true some days! I really like this little series of books by Amy Nobile & Trisha Ashworth. You can totally relate to their books if you are a mom these days. The other 2 books they've written are "I was a really good mom before I had kids: rewriting modern motherhood" and the other is "Dirty little secrets from otherwise perfect moms". They are hilarious and its comforting and funny to know that you aren't the only one that goes through or thinks something you thought you would only go through. This book concentrates on marriage after kids arrive. The intro goes something like this: "Why are our marriages after kids not all what we expected them to be? What happened to our sex lives? We know nobody has a perfect marriage, but we can't help thinking the fantasy ideal exists anyway. The pressure to be a 'good mom' leaves very little room for a relationship with our husband and as a result our marriages end up last on our 'to do' list. I think this is very true in todays society. It is tough being a mom in these times, let alone a wife. I can attest to that as well as many moms I know, there just isn't enough time in the day, let alone any energy left by the end of the day & its just natural for us to tend to our kids much more than our husbands. These 2 have interviewed hundreds of moms and dads and you see them quoted throughout the entire book, its just good to know and kinda sad too that we are all on the same page in parenthood.

Amy & Trisha
I love your new background... makes me want to change mine!
great post... I will have to hop on over to the Library's site and put a hold or find those books.
It's hard being a stay at home mom when your kids are older... everyone things you should be out in the world working to make a difference... well, sorry! I am home with my kids making a difference. Why can't we chose to stay at home even when our kids can walk and talk and feed themselves... argh!!!
I can't wait to read these books... thanks, sweetie! Love the post prior too!
