Is it ever going to slow down?!?!?

I usually don't go without a week of blogging, but I just realized its been a few weeks, sorry! There have been SO many events going on, both good and bad, I just wonder if its ever going to stop! I can't believe we are almost 10 days out of January, where has the time gone? I finally hosted my Mom's 50th birthday party back on the 10th. We had a great time, just had 6 of her friends there, but it was perfect! I made lots of appetizers and managed to drink a huge pitcher of my Mom's fabulous margaritas (not by myself people :)) and some wine! We ended up playing the Mexican train game (a form of dominos) and just chatting, fun times were had by all! The next week was just spent trying to catch up around the house, that seems to be a really big issue for me lately. I don't know how some mom's do it with more than 2 kids, somedays I'm so stressed out and wonder what the heck I did all day, sometimes its really not much as I can get pretty lazy and unmotivated, but jeez........?!? The big news, although its terribly tragic, is that we suffered a big loss in the Wray community last week. There was a horrific plane crash that took the lives of 3 amazing men. One of them happened to be a close family friend of Chad's and a few of my family members also knew him. We packed up our stuff and traveled to Wray Sunday night with the kids and Shawn to attend the funeral Monday morning. It was SO emotional and the church was packed, it got to standing room only, but a beautiful service and it just tore my heart apart as the family suffered a tremendous loss and to have their Dad as an experienced pilot reminded me SO much of my Dad and how LUCKY I am to have him in my life and always continue to pray for him and my brother and Mom too who fly often if not everyday. The whole experience has really made us look at our lives and realize how fragile life is and how we need to live each day to our fullest as life can change at any moment in an instant. We arrived back home yesterday and I'm just trying to take everything in slowly as today was another HUGE day for our country. I couldn't keep my eyes off the tv today as Obama was inaugerated, wow, what an awesome moment to witness and story to tell our kids when they grow up! My Dad is a very lucky man to be there and kept texting me to give me updates throughout the day! He was amonst the millions (they are saying 2 million) that stood outside in the cold weather to witness it firsthand!!! He also was one of the hosts for the 10 inaugeration balls going on this evening, it was the Clean Energy & Environmental Ball! I'm excited to hear all of his stories and hopefully pictures too! And, I can't forget those Obama girls, they are so freakin' adorable, I just want to spend a day with them and see what life is all about! I couldn't stop laughing at the little one as one of the anchors today was commenting on how she doesn't walk, she bounces everywhere! What a beautiful family and the experience those girls will have and so excited what this year and his term will bring! Well, what else? Just catching up from being gone unexpectedly this past weekend, I just can't seem to get caught up on laundry, its neverending and the house needs some attention too, hopefully it'll get done along with my neverending 'to do' list and goals for this month, I'm gonna really push myself though to get them done, its always such a awesome feeling and I feel SO much better and accomplished if I do, we'll see! We are hoping it can slow down and begin to get back to normal soon, but first off, we are planning our trip as we speak to the Stock show that's in town until Sunday, we are hoping to get the kids there before it ends, I know they will just LOVE it as Bray LOVES to watch bull riding and rodeo on tv! Can't wait, should be lots of fun!
