Getting over the roadblocks in parenthood

Last week was probably the worst week Chad and I had as parents. I know they say you're gonna have those days or weeks and we for sure should of known it was our time for one I guess. On Wednesday, Braylon woke up with pink eye and had a cold/cough from the previous week, so I decided I had better call the peditrician and get him in to get meds. Knowing that pink eye is very contagious, I just knew one of us was doomed in getting it too and thinking how I was going to keep Bryn away from Bray, but by the time we got to the peditricians office that morning, you could tell she was already getting it, ahhhhhhh!?!? Not only did Bray have pink eye and Bryn too, Bray had an ear infection which I was unaware of, so after we left there, we headed to Walmart to pick up their meds. They had called in the prescriptions for me, so I thought I'd just be able to get in and get out and get them home quick, that's the last place I needed to be today, but not so fast my friend.......I waited patiently (they are lucky I'm a patient and kind person), for 1 hour for them to fill 2 prescriptions, isn't that ridiculous?! While in the midst of waiting on it after the pharmacy dude told me it would be about 15 min. I took the kids to the toy section and got some ideas for birthdays/christmas and then came back thinking I could pick them up now....waited, waited, waited patiently some more...finally after Bray was having a meltdown and looked like crap and Bryn didn't want to be in the cart anymore, an angel of a lady sitting across from me waiting on her prescription too, saw how much stress I was under and how the kids were acting and offered to go get some juice for Bray in which after awhile I told her it was fine. After I had finally got my prescriptions filled, the lady came back and had bought Bray a 6 pk of juice, how amazing is that? We need more people like that in our world, I couldn't believe her generousity and kindness, it totally made my day. Once we got home, I tried to feed both kids and give meds which didn't happen, Bray crashed on the couch and slept for 5 hours that day, he needed that so much! I'm usually so happy when Chad gets home from work, but this is one of those days that you countdown minute by minute until they are home, I was stressed to the max. It was hard, because he was home later than usual because I had him go all the way practically downtown to pick up a costume for Bray from some lady that was leaving the next day, go figure, that's how the day went...Anyways, that week just never was my week, on Friday I managed to break the garage door after getting home, but in fact it was an easy fix by Chad and then Chad calls me and tells me he's missing his wedding band. He had let Bray play with it the night before because he was throwing a fit and forgot to get it back from him so I was on a frantic mission to hopefully find it, knowing Bray could of really hid it good or thrown it away, but luckily it was placed nicely in the pantry! :) Luckily, Chad had gotten us tickets for the Broncos game on Sunday and I was SO ready to get out of the house and have some time for ourselves and enjoy a game for once, that was a nice but cold ending to the bad week we all had!
