Lifetime Fitness
Well, I've finally decided my treadmill in the dark, lonely basement is doing me no good, so I had remembered that a friend of mine had given me a 2 day guest pass to try out this new fitness center in Parker. My brother is already a member of this gym, so I decided to take my brother's girlfriend with me and check it out and oh wow, I can't even begin to describe it, it was breathtaking, out of this world amazing! I guarantee you've never seen anything like this fitness center. When you walk in, there is a spa on the right, yes SPA, of course you have to pay for it, but a SPA in a fitness center, I'm sold already! To your left is a cafe, yes, cafe, meaning food! And, it immediately sells you as the aroma overtakes your senses! Down the hall, you'll find basketball courts, a climbing wall, a turf indoor field, racquetball courts, locker rooms that are unlike any you've ever seen! A childcare center that is also unbelievable and definetly had me sold! Two indoor pools (one a lap pool, one a leisure with lots of slides), 2 ginormous hot tubs and a huge sauna. The outdoor pool is closed for the winter, but I can't wait to take the kids their next summer, way cool! Upstairs you'll find hundreds of weight equipment, treadmills, ellipticals, tvs everywhere and tons more! So, needless to say, I got a membership, just me for now, hopefully Chad after the start of the new year! I can put the kids in the childcare center for 2 hours everyday while at the fitness cente and workout for a very low price every month, how awesome is that? :) Its a win win situation with that, the kids get to socialize with other kids and play with so much and I get a little breather and get to workout! Today was my first official day as a member. I was a little nervous with how the kids would react, knowing I may not get all my workout in! (They page you if they can't settle down your kid(s)). So as I was working out, I kept hearing pages, thinking my name would eventually be called, and sure enough, 35 minutes into my workout, I was paged! Which kid would it be? Braylon was crying and not use to all the kids yet, but from what other moms told me, it'll probably take a few weeks for him to get use to all of that! I went over to the infant room to see what Brynley was doing and I just about cryed when I saw that she was peacefully sleeping in a swing all bundled up, awwwww..one of those kodak moments, which I thought I had captured on my camera phone, but after getting home, I realized I didn't get it or erased it, darn! She had cryed a little bit when all the other babies were crying, but the lady just told me she rocked her and sang her lullabies and she was asleep! So, I'm excited to check out all these fun things at the fitness center, there is so much to do and I know I can definetly not get bored there, I'm very excited to get fit and healthy again and what a better place to do it at than at Lifetime!
