1.24.11-1.30.11: Cousin Justin, Baby Lily



Yet another death in the family this week, again in Chad’s family, so not fair. Chad’s cousin, Justin, from Wiggins, suddenly passed away during surgery at the young age of 37 and left behind a wife and 2 boys, 16 mo. & 5 months. It was such a rough week for all of us. The funeral was held on Friday at Wiggins High School gym, such a tear jerker, but beautiful celebration of his life. I obviously didn’t know him as well as Chad did, but from the service, I really wish I would have know him better. God gained yet another angel. As one leaves us, we received another gift from heaven. Our neighbor friends had a beautiful baby GIRL, Lily Noelle, Saturday morning! We went to visit them that evening, what an awesome addition to our neighborhood and daycare (in 3 months!)

Justin David Covelli, 37, died Saturday, January 22, 2011, after a short illness at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO. He was born June 2, 1973, in Brush, to Barry and Michelle Covelli.
Justin graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1991 and University of Northern Colorado in 1995. At the time of his death, Justin was manager of the Wiggins Co-Op. Justin married Melissa Ruhl on July 30, 2007, in Las Vegas, NV.

Justin enjoyed playing golf, playing and watching basketball (especially Duke Blue Devils), reading, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa, 2 sons, Mason and Aidan, his parents, Barry and Michelle Covelli, all of Fort Morgan; his brother, Josh, and his wife, Laura, of Greeley; his grandparents, Bert and Dorothy Covelli and Glen and Marilyn Perkins, all of Fort Morgan, and Betty Marshall of Wray, CO; his in-laws, Tom and Sandy Ruhl of Wiggins, Gerald and Bonnie Egan and 2 brothers Marc Ruhl, and his wife, Cassie, all of Greeley, and Jeff Ruhl, and his wife Nancy of Wiggins.

A memorial service will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Wiggins Event Center. The service will conclude at the center. The Heer & Dahl Mortuaries & Crematory are entrusted with the arrangements. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Justin Covelli family Memorial Fund, c/o High Plains Bank, in Wiggins.
