We kept Valentine's Day this year simple and lazy and that is totally fine for us! We beliwve that love should be celebrated everyday, not just a little more one day of the year. Yes, our anniversary is special and we do usually do something special, but I just think that Valentine's has become way too commercialized, so we don't really go all out like we use to. We tried to sleep in as much as we could and then I made a late breakfast of heart shaped french toast and prepared a pot roast dinner for supper. After dinner we took cupcakes over to Shawn and Alissa's to share and they got the kiddos some cute 'pillow pet' pillows, needless to say they are their new favorite pillows to sleep with! In the past I have tried to take pictures of the kids on this day and they turned out pretty cute as well!
