Our church hosted a marriage conference this weekend with guest speaker, Dr. Doug Weiss. Yes, the picture says what it says, that was the title of the conference! ;) Since we've never done anything like this and after 8 1/2 years of marriage, 14 yrs. together, we decided maybe it was time to give it a try. After that many years and 2 kids coming into the picture, we knew that we could use a refresher! Thankfully, my parents took the kids for the weekend, so that was a nice break! It was a 3 day conference. The wives attended for a few hours Thursday night, the husbands for the same on Friday night and then we both attended on Saturday morning for 3 hours. We didn't know what to expect, but I would say it exceeded our expectations and we both came out of there with a whole new couple very anxious to be a more loving example to each other and to our kids as well! I fell in love all over again with my husband, I am very blessed to have him in my life and giving me 2 of the most amazing kids ever!
