This is a big ooooopppss on my behalf! Thank goodness only my brother in law has really noticed it so far! A couple weeks ago I was painting our laundry room to get ready for our new washer and dryer and we decided to use some paint we already had on hand. What I could of swore was our main color in our house turned out to be the accent color of which we only used in a few places. It turned out just fine in the laundry room, but while I was waiting for the space to dry, I decided I would do some much needed touching up and well, that's when I realized I was wrong and it wasn't the color I had thought it was. Oh well, its not the end of the world, I've been wanting to paint the wall next to the stairs a red anyways and its not that big of a wall, so maybe after the first of the year I'll get to that! The other wall part of the wall by a coat closet, well, I'm gonna have to track down the right color and paint it back to its normal color and touch up everywhere else!

I'm not sure how the paint in your house is, but just make sure than you are using a flat or glossy finish that matches the paint on the wall for touch-ups.
When we moved in to our house, we found that the sellers had done touch ups but used a gloss finish on a flat wall. Same color, but at the right angle, you could see the patches of touch up reflecting light.
